RULES OF WU’S TAEKWONDO SCHOOL

All students are expected to follow these basic rules to ensure that students show courtesy and respect in school at all times:

Personal & Class Conduct

1.  No Student should say or do anything to bring dishonor to the school, their instructor or fellow students.

2.  Students will bow to the flags when entering or leaving class.

3.  Students must obtain permission to leave class early, before class begins.

4.  No jewelry can be worn during class.

5.  Uniform should be kept clean at all times.

6.  No student who has consumed alcoholic beverages or drugs will be allowed to attend class.

7.  Any student taking prescribed medication must inform the instructor prior to class as it might effect the students performance.

8.  Students must remove their shoes before entering the training area.

9.  No talking is allowed during class.

10. Anyone who is arriving late for class must wait for permission from the instructor to join the class.

11. When the instructor directs a student or a group of students to work-out on their own, the student is to work-out. Not stand, visit, or observe others working out.

12. Students must keep a regular and consistent schedule of practice.

13. All students with higher ranking belts will strive to assist and guide lower ranking students.

14. There will be no free practice while a class is in session, unless permission has first been given by the Head Instructor.

15. It is the responsibility of all students to keep the school and the dressing area neat and clean.

16. Adults with small children are responsible for seeing that their behavior is not disruptive.

17. No smoking or chewing tobacco is allowed.

18. Chewing gum is not permitted.

19. Loud conversation and laughing in excess are forbidden.

20. Foul language will not be tolerated.

21. Fingernails and toenails should be kept short.

Conduct towards Masters and Instructors

1.  All students will obey, without questions, the words and requests of seniors and instructors.

2.  When approaching an instructor students should bow and say "Pardon me, sir" or "Pardon me, Ma'am." When finished the student should say "Thank you, Sir" or "Thank you, Ma'am."

3.  Students will address all instructors as "Sir" or "Ma'am."

4.  Any substitute teacher will be treated with the same respect as the regular instructor.

5.  Students will bow to the instructor when entering or leaving class.

6.  A student must show respect to the Master or instructor by bowing to them in all areas of the academy, not just in the classroom. If they are seated they must stand and bow immediately.

Disciplinary action will be taken if any of these regulations are violated. Penalties will vary at the discretion of the Head Instructor.  Examples of such penalties are: possible demotion of rank, suspension or termination of training.
